Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable & Cash Applications Clerk
Position is responsible for accurately posting customer payments, balancing daily cash activity, processing intercompany transactions, and coordinating store cash change orders. This position ensures that daily cash receipts are accurately recorded, customer accounts are properly maintained, and cash management activities are completed in a timely manner. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in multiple accounting systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Balance daily cash deposits against the Point of Sale (POS) system to ensure all receipts are accurately accounted for.
- Research and resolve discrepancies between cash deposits and POS reports.
- Post customer payments to Accounts Receivable accurately and timely.
- Process and post intercompany vehicle repair charges.
- Record transactions in both the Navex operating system and QuickBooks accounting system.
- Verify that transactions successfully integrate between Navex and QuickBooks and identify any exceptions requiring correction.
- Coordinate and process store cash change orders with the Company's banking partner to ensure stores maintain appropriate cash on hand for daily operations.
- Communicate with store personnel regarding change order requests and confirm timely fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end Accounts Receivable closing procedures.
- Prepare documentation to support reconciliations, audits, and internal reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and Company financial information.
- Follow all Company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in in the following areas:
- Experience processing cash receipts and cash applications.
- Experience reconciling daily cash activity.
- Experience working with multiple accounting or ERP systems.
- Banking or cash management experience is a plus.
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
