As a Security Officer, a typical day might include the following:
- Greeting guests and providing them with fast, friendly service
- Accurately checking guest identification
- Ensuring all dress code procedures are being enforced
- Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed according to company guidelines
- Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner
- Handling situations quickly, efficiently, and safely
- Diffusing difficult situations
- Ensuring safety of both guests and staff throughout the entire venue
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- At least 1 year previous security experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage environment and/or nightclub
- Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
- TIPS or other recognized Alcohol Certification is preferred and will be required if chosen for the position
- Must have the ability to complete the process for the Massachusetts State Gaming Commission license prior to starting
- You present a neat and professional appearance
- Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
- You have flexibility with schedule which includes availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Proven ability to de-escalate issues
