As a Lighting Technician, a typical day might include the following:
- Provide lighting for high volume live events
- Assist production crews as directed
- Perform load-in, set-up and break-down lighting equipment for productions when necessary
- Assist with lighting control board operation & programming
- Assist with maintenance and repair of lighting equipment
- Interact with visiting production crew to ensure a successful show by using strong interpersonal skills and accommodating lighting requirements of artist/event
- Operate systems pertaining to audio, lighting, and/or video throughout the entire venue
- Ensure proper care and handling of all house and rental lighting & A/V equipment
- If necessary, assist the production manager with technical advance
- Assist with any special events operations in any of the previous mentioned capacity
- All other duties assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- At least 1 year previous live event production lighting experience
- Experience in stage lighting, programming, and operation
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of electricity and power management
- Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
- You are able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level and extreme lighting changes
- Knowledge and proficiency in professional Lighting Control (GrandMA, Obsidian Onyx, ETC, Artnet/sACN protocol all preferred)

- May be required to lift or move up to 75 lbs using proper lifting techniques and withstand long hours on your feet in a fast-paced, high energy environment with moderate to loud noise level and extreme lighting changes
- Non-typical office hours will be customary including evenings, weekends, and holidays
