What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development and Marketing Specialist position at Big Lakes Developmental Center?
The Development and Marketing Specialist has the unique opportunity of engaging with clients, employees, stakeholders, and the general public through activities of marketing, fundraising, and employee recognition. This position is key in developing and implementing initiatives and events to promote Big Lakes and all its programs and services. Start rate is $24.00 per hour. Employees may be eligible for retention bonuses up to $2000.00 through second year of employment.
Responsible for providing direction, development, planning, oversight, and implementation of marketing, fundraising, and public relations and employee activities. Individual should be organized and possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency with computer programs to create printed and audio/visual media to include social media. Preferred qualification is experience with fundraising and grant writing. Minimum requirements include Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, journalism, marketing, graphic arts, English, or closely related field. Two years related experience preferred.
