Position: Assistant Football Coach
Location: Lovell High School
Qualifications: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Wyoming coaching permit with the appropriate endorsement.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to develop drill and practice activities that teach and enhance individual/team skill development that makes up the game/activity alongside the head coach.
- Be able to work well and support the head coach in the program.
- Ability to plan and enforce appropriate safety and health rules and regulations.
- Ability to develop a supervision plan that ensures the safety and welfare of students at all times: locker room, trips, practices, etc.
- Maintains confidentiality about students and others.
- Presents a professional appearance.
- Have a strong positive relationship with players and parents.
- Ability to be an effective communicator with all audiences players, parents, supervisors, peers and spectators.
- Ability to receive, understand and follow directions.
- Be able to model/demonstrate activities and equipment used to develop basic skills or physical condition.
- Ability to observe, diagnose, and prescribe appropriate remediation activities during practice and game conditions for players and team.
- Must know and be able to apply the developmental stages of each point of the game to the needs and ability levels of the team/players.
- Assimilate innovations and adapt to changes where applicable.
- Support the philosophies of Big Horn County School District #2 activities.
