Duties

• Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide personalized product recommendations
• Educate customers on product effects, consumption methods, and responsible usage through engaging product demos
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products by highlighting new or popular items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized on shelves
• Conduct stock checks, inventory management, and assist with stocking to keep the store fully prepared for customer needs
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
• Assist with product demos and educate customers about new or featured products to boost sales
• Supervise junior staff or volunteers as needed, providing guidance on customer service standards and store procedures
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to retail cannabis sales and safety protocols

Experience

• Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment, demonstrating strong customer service skills
• Supervising experience in a retail setting is highly desirable for leadership development opportunities
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions
• Excellent communication skills to engage customers confidently and clearly explain product details
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, and conducting product demos enhances your ability to create an inviting shopping environment
• Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication with clients and team members
