Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution center leadership experience
- Prior experience supervising or managing large hourly teams
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety standards
- Ability to lead in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Experience in manufacturing, retail distribution, or 3PL environments
- Familiarity with WMS systems and productivity metrics
- Forklift and warehouse equipment experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Directly lead and support warehouse supervisors, leads, and hourly employees
- Set daily expectations, ensure proper staffing, and labor allocation
- Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve performance and accountability
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
- Oversee inbound, outbound, picking, packing, staging, and shipping operations
- Ensure work assignments are completed efficiently and according to schedule
- Monitor productivity, throughout, and labor efficiency metrics
- Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA standards, and warehouse best practices
- Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and incident investigations
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance training is completed
- Address unsafe conditions and behaviors promptly
- Support inventory control processes including cycle counts and audits
- Ensure accurate material handling, storage, and system transactions
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or process failures
- Act as a primary point of contact between warehouse management and floor staff
- Communicate operational goals, changes, and expectations clearly
- Coordinate with Transportation, Inventory Control, HR, and Maintenance teams
- Provide shift handoffs and operational status updates
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support budgeted labor hours and cost control objectives
- Assist management with daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting
- Ability to walk, stand, and work on the warehouse floor for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
