At Big Brothers Big Sisters, our mission is simple: create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. We’re looking for a Site-Based Facilitated Program Coordinator to help us bring that mission to life through structured, meaningful mentoring programs at local schools and community sites.

This position is ideal for someone who values relationship-building, organization, and creating engaging experiences that help youth grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Enrollment & Matching (20%)

  • Recruit and coordinate youth and volunteer enrollments for site-based programs.
  • Conduct assessments and reference checks to make thoughtful, high-quality match recommendations.

Match Support & Coaching (35%)

  • Serve as the primary support for matches, providing coaching and encouragement to volunteers, youth, and families.
  • Monitor the progress of mentoring relationships and intervene when needed to strengthen outcomes.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

Program Coordination & Facilitation (35%)

  • Facilitate six unique programs throughout the school year, including incredible partnerships through our Workplace Mentoring Program and our most popular initiative, the High School Bigs Mentoring Program.
  • Ensure sessions are well-organized, engaging, and aligned with program goals.

Program Development & Engagement (10%)

  • Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and site activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school staff, administrators, and partner sites.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions that enhance the overall program experience.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain supplies, session materials, and accurate site binders.
  • Participate in community and school events throughout the year.
  • Support the planning of agency-wide events such as our annual picnic, including games, prizes, and backpack distribution.
  • Share stories of match impact to celebrate successes and support agency messaging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, human services, or a related field required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in youth services or case management preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with youth, volunteers, and school staff.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable facilitating group sessions or willing to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours required for events or program needs.
  • Basic understanding of trauma-informed practices, or willingness to learn.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Routine office work year round, along with regular in-person facilitation at school or business sites throughout the academic year.
  • Travel within the community is required during the workday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
