Salary Range: $70,000- $75,000 (exempt)
Type: Fulltime (occasional evening and weekends required)
Position Summary
BBBS GSA is looking for a talented individual to fill the Development Coordinator position. The Development Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of duties supporting BBBS GSA’s financial growth including event planning, CRM database management, and donor recognition. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Event Coordination and Support – 75% - Coordinate event logistics such as annual events, private donor events, and appreciation events. Secure and coordinate sponsorships and auction items for annual gala, golf tournament, and special events/programs. Coordinate gift processing. The Development Coordinator is the staff liaison to multiple volunteer event subcommittees.
2. Execution of Fundraising Plans – 20% - Maintain donor recognition programs including thank you emails and letters, calls, gifts, etc. Assist with management of the donor database, coordinate print, digital, and social media content, and helping strategize new ways to engage and retain donors.
3. Operations and Team Support – 5% - Serve as a vital member of the team by staying abreast of organization-wide issues and contributing to the development and achievement of the agency’s long-term vision and short-term operating plans. Participate in select program events which focus on our volunteer mentors and youth served in our community. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The successful candidate for this role has a passion for positively impacting the lives of youth, detail-orientation and customer service to engage volunteers into action. Other qualifications include:
· Bachelor's degree (Business/Marketing or related field)
· One to three years of progressively responsible experience working in event planning or fundraising preferred.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
· Experience with a CRM system (Donor Perfect, Salesforce, etc.)
· Experience Canva and Constant Contact preferred
