Big Apple Ballroom is growing, and we’re looking for a smart, friendly, emotionally attuned receptionist to help us keep the studio running smoothly. This is a client-facing role in a boutique, high-touch dance environment—so the job is equal parts hospitality, organization, and creating a warm experience for every student who walks through our doors. Who You Are• You’re a people-person with excellent emotional IQ and a naturally welcoming demeanor.• You’re comfortable juggling a busy front desk, interacting with clients, and keeping things moving behind the scenes.• You’re tech-competent: Mac OS, Pages/Word, Numbers/Excel, and comfortable learning new platforms.• You’re familiar with social media and can confidently update our Instagram and other channels with studio news, schedules, and community moments.• You take pride in being organized, reliable, and unflappable—even when the day gets a little New York-style chaotic. What You’ll Do• Serve as the first friendly point of contact for students, teachers, and visitors.• Manage bookings, answer phone calls and emails, and keep the schedule running efficiently.• Help maintain a tidy, inviting studio environment.• Assist with basic administrative tasks—documents, spreadsheets, light reporting.• Update Big Apple Ballroom’s social channels with photos, class updates, and announcements.• Support teachers and management as needed during studio hours.
