BidZoo is the newest destination for fast, engaging, and trusted auctions. We are beginning with the vibrant world of Pokémon card collecting, creating a unique experience for enthusiasts and serious collectors alike. As we grow, our vision is to expand far beyond trading cards, opening the door to multiple verticals and establishing BidZoo as the go-to marketplace for auctions across categories.


As we prepare for launch, we are looking for an experienced, multi-talented individual to join our small but ambitious team and play a key role in shaping our success.


Role Description

We are seeking a Marketing & Social Media Specialist who will drive BidZoo’s launch and brand growth. This role goes beyond day-to-day marketing management — you will be developing and executing high-impact campaigns that position BidZoo as the leading marketplace for Pokémon card enthusiasts.


The ideal candidate will be an expert in marketing, social media, online advertising, and viral campaign strategies, with proven experience building momentum for online marketplaces. You will also hire, manage and mentor a small team, ensuring that campaigns are executed flawlessly while working closely with the Technology Operations Director to achieve our launch goals.


Responsibilities include

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies with a focus on launch success
  • Design, manage, and optimize paid social ad campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Create and lead viral campaigns to build hype and drive community engagement
  • Manage and grow BidZoo’s social media presence, including content creation, posting, and analytics
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and audience behavior
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies to maximize results
  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives
  • Engage with the collector community to build trust, loyalty, and excitement ahead of launch
  • Build affiliate and referral programs
  • Outreach and work with Influencers
  • Set up and manage email campaigns, newsletters, and automations


Qualifications

  • Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies for online marketplaces
  • Expertise in social media advertising, viral campaign design, and community engagement
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and scaling high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, email marketing, and content management tools
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics and data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a remote startup environment
  • Knowledge of the Pokémon card market is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, analytics platforms, and marketing automation software. Hubspot and microsoft
  • Startup mindset: resourceful, adaptable, and eager to go above and beyond
