Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laborer to assist with the disassembly and shipment preparation of our completed Natural Gas Compression Units & Equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are properly identified, organized, and prepared for safe and efficient delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the disassembly of completed units in preparation for shipment
- Prepare materials and equipment for shipping, including proper labeling and packaging
- Sort, organize, and stage materials such as vessels, spools, piping, and related components
- Load shipments safely and efficiently, following company and site safety procedures
- Identify and track incoming and outgoing shipments to support accurate logistics and documentation
- Ensure all materials are prepared and secured to prevent damage during transport
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet shipment schedules and project deadlines
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, especially with labeling, sorting, and material identification
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an industrial or shop environment
- Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting and loading materials
- Prior experience with crane operations is a plus, but not required
- Forklift or rigging experience is an asset (if applicable)
- Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
Schedule:
· Full-time
- 6am to 2:30pm Monday - Friday
- Overtime may be required based on workload
- Indoor industrial shop environment
- In person at our Weirton, WV shop
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move, and walk long distances and in small areas with many moving pieces/parts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a manufacturing environment. The employee is exposed to hot, cold and outside weather conditions. Employee is working with moving mechanical parts, fumes and caustic chemicals are present. The noise level in the environment includes exposure to loud noise levels.
