Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Location: North/Central Houston, TX
Contract Term: ASAP – June 4, 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Position Summary:
Houston Independent School District (HISD) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students with behavioral, emotional, and academic needs. The BCBA will apply evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to design, implement, and monitor individualized interventions. The role involves working with students, families, and school staff to promote positive behavior and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary based on data.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor behavior technicians and other support staff.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Provide ongoing consultation and training to staff and families.
- Ensure interventions comply with ethical standards and HISD policies.
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in ABA.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Minimum of 2 years of applied behavior analysis experience in educational or clinical settings.
- Knowledge of ABA principles, data collection methods, and intervention techniques.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school-based team.
- Commitment to ethical standards and maintaining student confidentiality.

- Reliable transportation required; role may involve travel between multiple HISD campuses.
