Position Overview
Join our team at The Bicentennial Inn, a charming and welcoming hotel in the heart of Buckhannon, West Virginia! We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to fill a dual role as a Front Desk Clerk/Housekeeper. This position offers the opportunity to engage with guests, ensure exceptional service, and maintain the inviting atmosphere of our property. Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Clerk (50%):
- Greet and check in guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a memorable first impression.
- Manage reservations, answer phone inquiries, and assist with guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Process payments, maintain accurate records, and provide information about local attractions and amenities.
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized and welcoming.
Housekeeper (50%):
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, replenishing linens, and ensuring all amenities are stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas, such as the lobby and hallways, to uphold our high standards of hospitality.
- Inspect rooms for quality assurance, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a pristine and safe environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or housekeeping is preferred but not required; we provide training!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and inviting space.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
