Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager
On-Site — Omaha, NE | Full-Time | Reports to: TBD
POSITION OVERVIEW
Bianchi Candle Brands LLC is a growing candle manufacturing company in Omaha, Nebraska. As we scale our production volume, we are adding a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to own product quality across our manufacturing operation — from raw material inspection through finished goods release.
The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining our quality systems, conducting inspections at key points in the production process, and ensuring that every product leaving our facility meets Bianchi's standards. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who is equally comfortable on the production floor and building documentation systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Inspection & Testing
- Conduct incoming inspections of raw materials and packaging — verify quality, specification compliance, and condition
- Perform in-process quality checks at key production stages
- Inspect finished goods prior to release — ensure product meets appearance, scent, weight, and packaging standards
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products — document and disposition appropriately
Quality Systems & Documentation
- Build and maintain QA/QC SOPs, inspection checklists, and quality documentation
- Maintain records of inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions
- Develop and manage a product specification library for all SKUs
- Support customer and third-party audits (including SMETA/social compliance audits) with documentation and records
Continuous Improvement
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints — identify root cause and implement corrective actions
- Track quality metrics and report trends to leadership
- Partner with production leadership to identify and eliminate sources of defects or waste
- Drive a culture of quality awareness across the production team
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with the Sourcing and Procurement teams on raw material quality standards and vendor performance
- Partner with Production on process controls and quality-related workflow improvements
- Communicate proactively with leadership on quality risks, issues, and improvement opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of inspection methods, quality documentation, and non-conformance management
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on a production floor
- Ability to build and maintain quality systems from the ground up
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in candle, cosmetics, CPG, or fragrance manufacturing
- Familiarity with SMETA, ISO, or similar quality/compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting customer or third-party audits
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Teams)
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
- Full-time, Monday through Friday — standard manufacturing hours 8 - 5
- On-site at our Omaha, NE facility
