Summary/Objective
The Decision Support Coordinator is responsible for the integration, coordination and facilitation of utilization management, care facilitation and discharge planning functions; assisting the administrative functions that support the case management plan process and utilization review process with the goal of providing timely, accurate information to payers.
Essential Job Duties

- Communicate and provide payers with needed documentation to obtain approved authorizations for medical cases.
- Check department mail and messages and respond accordingly.
- Manage and filter vendors as they come to visit staff and/or patients.
- Coordinates referrals/triggers/orders to the department to ensure delivery of services is provided in a timely manner.
- Preforms clerical and administrative tasks within the CM department; as well as assisting with maintenance of the department shared drive downtime forms and templates by keeping them up to date and available.
- Notify director manager of any peer-to-peer cases.
