Summary/Objective
Responsible for assisting patients by answering phones and seeing walk-in patients. Responsible for review and determination of status and/or rejection of all zero balance EOB's. Assists in opening, sorting and delivery of mail, review and research of returned mail. Responsible for documentation and corrections to patient accounts as needed. Assists in posting adjustments and reviewing and correcting electronic remits as needed. Works up all accounts payable checks requests for vendors and orders supplies for department as needed.

- Assists walk-in patients and answers incoming calls promptly and professionally with information on their accounts and/or provides requested information.
- Reviews all no pay EOB's for determination of proper distribution.
- Responsible for opening, sorting and delivery of incoming mail.
- Researchers return mail for correct mailing information. Submits corrections as needed.
- Ensures the accuracy of accounts as reviewed and when identified submits corrections/adjustments to the patient’s accounts.
Receives and processes patient payments and prepares deposits.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
6 months – 1 year experience
