Summary Job Description: BHMG Urology Job Summary: Under general supervision, this position schedules appointments, diagnostic tests/procedures and surgeries. The Scheduling Coordinator performs proper management of provider schedules including inbound/outbound calls to ensure full, productive schedules. Schedule Coordinators will obtain all pre-certifications and referrals needed, as well as processing required documentation, medical records, forms and Kasper Reports ensuring all necessary documentation and paperwork is present and up to date allowing patients to have the best experience possible. Specific offices may require the Scheduling Coordinator to maintain hospital cards and transmit to appropriate staff and facilities. This position may be responsible for providing back-up for the front office or the medical assistant. This position may also be responsible for verifying accuracy of the provider’s schedule in the electronic scheduling software. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
