Laundry Worker, MKV

Maple Knoll Village, a continuing care retirement community is seeking a fulltime Laundry Worker to add to our housekeeping and laundry team!! The hours for this position are 6a-2p. You will be required to work every other weekend, and every other holiday. The pay range for this position is $15.00- $18.00 per hour. Pay is based off prior laundry experience; at least one year of skilled nursing home or hospital setting is required.   

The Laundry Worker will be responsible for collecting, sorting, and loading soiled linen into the washer(s) and loading clean linens into the dryer(s), folding clean linens, counting and recording the linen processed each day, making proper deliveries to units in the skilled facility. 

The Laundry Worker will:

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Be able to perform routine, and repetitive tasks continuously
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 40 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 40 pounds;

• Complete assigned tasks according to the schedule in a timely manner
• Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
• Ensure all laundry equipment is maintained and operated correctly, any deficiency needs to be reported to supervisor
• Follow proper infection control and sanitation procedures
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional customer service
