Your Role The Opportunity
As the Senior Architect, you will join the firm at our Raleigh, NC, offices and be responsible for leading the projects from design through construction and then to successful completion in our Workplace division. Your Role The Opportunity
As the Senior Architect, you will join the firm at our Raleigh, NC, offices and be responsible for leading the projects from design through construction and then to successful completion in our Workplace division. Your work will require you to have highly developed expertise in architectural design, managing projects, and technical knowledge. This senior technical level role provides the opportunity to pursue professional growth while contributing to one of the Southeast’s largest workplace design teams.
The Role Priorities
- Primarily responsible for the technical and production aspects for all project sizes, managing the projects to the schedule, deliverables, and established project budget.
- Supports project management with the development of a work breakdown structure, estimating production efforts, managing project schedules, and tracking expended effort against the budget.
- Oversees code compliance with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines.
- Develops and coordinates technical specifications
- Responsible for aspects of construction administration, including but not limited to shop drawing/submittal review and coordination, attending project meetings, and periodic monitoring of construction sites, interfacing with contractors and clients.
- Will supervise technical project staff of various skill levels, and provides the internal team with technical guidance, redlines, and feedback.
- Apply interpersonal communication skills to build strong working relationships, resolve conflicts, and motivate the project team.
- Promote a workplace culture that is consistent with the BHDP Collective Ambition.
- Implement the BHDP Design Process, including the QA/QC process.
- A professional, accredited degree in Architecture is preferred, along with 10 years’ experience and professional registration.
- Experience with Workplace projects and clients is highly desired
- Technical expertise on exterior and interior detailing preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Working proficiency in required programs (e.g., Revit, MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, Sketch-Up)
- Technical proficiency in specifications writing
- Demonstrated project management and staff leadership success
