What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct, trauma-informed case management and safety planning to survivors of domestic violence.
- Connect clients and their families to essential resources, including housing, legal aid, mental health care, and employment services.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and partner agencies to enhance client safety and access to support.
- Use tools like the Danger Assessment and VIGOR to develop individualized service plans.
- Maintain accurate case records, participate in program reporting, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
- Two years Advocacy and/or direct service experience working with survivors of domestic violence in a community-based setting preferred
- Experience assisting traditionally underserved populations with a developed understanding of issues of diversity essential
- Crisis intervention and counseling skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the domestic violence counselor certification per CGS 52-146K before providing direct service to clients, followed with six-hour recertification yearly
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organization’s auto insurance plan.
