BG Consultants, Inc. is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to support our Engineering team in our Manhattan, Kansas office. This position is for an entry-level candidate who is highly organized, dependable, and eager to learn. The Engineering Technician will provide technical support for a variety of civil engineering projects. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree (preferred)
- Entry-level position: prior experience not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Etc.)
- Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software such as, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Highly dependable, responsible, and flexible
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow
- Professional and resourceful when working with office staff and project teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic drafting and design tasks using CAD and/or GIS software
- Assist engineers with the preparation of plans, exhibits, and technical documents as well as occasional field work, including site visits and data collection
- Communicate effectively with project managers and office staff to meet project deadlines
- Support civil engineering projects related to water, wastewater, and transportation infrastructure
