What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Mill Operator- 2nd shift position at BFirst Industrial?
We are a family-owned, privately held business with multiple locations in the Midwest. One of our business divisions located in Ramsey, MN is custom machining, we are looking to add a motivated individual to our manufacturing team for 2nd shift mill, set-up/operator.
Requirements:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Must be able to run a CNC mill, change tools, and make necessary offsets to produce qualified parts.
- Ability to read and understand tight tolerances, blueprints, and fill out production & inspection documents.
- Ability to multi-task and organize production workloads on multiple machines.
- Positive attitude and pride in workmanship.
- Produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Sets-up mills by installing and adjusting various vices and work plates. Haas mill experience is helpful. Horizontal mill experience is also helpful.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to make sound decisions and accept responsibility
- Ability to work well with others
- Computer programming skills with the ability to read code on the fly.
- Programming knowledge with Fanuc controls a plus
- Mechanically inclined.
- Able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
- Minimum of 3 years' setup experience on CNC machines.
- Must be familiar with feeds and speeds in relation to different tooling and materials and possess the knowhow when to change the feeds and speeds
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Must be able to inspect parts according to following the blueprint.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Education or experience with machining operations is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
SHIFT:
· Monday – Thursday
· 2 pm – 12:30 am
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
