Duties
- Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on established care plans for children and individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene, to foster independence
- Implement behavior management strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive social interactions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and update personalized care plans aligned with client goals
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Support clients during educational activities, including special education sessions and teaching exercises designed to enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification through a recognized program
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities in behavioral therapy or related settings
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans effectively
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation practices, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals
