Our dynamic team of over 1800 professionals, spread across 14 locations in seven countries, is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is technically feasible. We're not just building crucial products for the satellites, launchers and semiconductor industry, we’re helping to improve life on earth.

The M&P Engineer applies and develops materials and processes at Beyond Gravity, supporting product development and operations. This role provides technical expertise and a solution‑oriented mindset to overcome challenges and ensure the successful execution of tasks in line with stakeholder requirements.

Your Mission

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of non-metallic material properties and their applicability; select appropriate materials based on application needs; work independently on most tasks with oversight/feedback from team members.
  • Possess a solid understanding of manufacturing processes related to composite manufacturing; work independently and write procedures; troubleshoot basic issues.
  • Support continuous improvements in processes and products to meet customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery. Gather feedback from production and operators.
  • Understand material characterization techniques (e.g., mechanical characterization, thermal characterization, statistical evaluation per CMH‑17, Six Sigma). Know testing methods and select appropriate standards.
  • Apply design guidelines and advise design engineers on their correct use.
  • Participate in Non‑Conformance Review Board (NRB) activities. Propose technical solutions within your expertise, support corrective actions, and perform basic root‑cause analysis with guidance. Prevent non‑conformances through on‑site production support when required. Implement lessons learned.
  • Understand special processes; act as the point of contact for at least one special process, with ownership and responsibility.
  • Adapt to change with some support. Remain open to new ideas and approaches. Apply problem‑solving techniques and independently learn new skills. Manage stress using established strategies.
  • Support technical audits in your area of expertise.
  • Develop basic automation scripts (e.g., Python, Excel VBA) to streamline modeling and post‑processing. Improve existing tools and contribute to process efficiency.
  • Report budget and milestone progress to the technical lead. Communicate risks and blockers. Demonstrate cost awareness and basic understanding of resource allocation.
  • Support the creation of training materials. Coach interns, students, and junior engineers. Assist with onboarding as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • Gather and interpret basic data for insights. Contribute ideas during brainstorming and innovation sessions. Understand fundamental research methods and development cycles. Learn from failures and apply lessons to future tasks.
  • Evaluate evidence, identify bias, and make logical connections. Use structured methods to solve complex problems based on experience and heritage data. Make key technical decisions and balance technical challenges with business considerations (cost, timeline, etc.).

Your Story

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field with 1 - 5 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of materials and processes in:
    • Composites, particularly carbon fiber–reinforced plastics (CFRP); hands‑on experience preferred

  • Applies sound decision‑making principles. Independently gathers comprehensive information, performs thorough analysis, evaluates risks, and applies risk‑mitigation strategies.
  • Identifies basic opportunities for improvement or innovation. Understands revenue streams and the financial impact of decisions. Participates in budgeting processes.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and engagement beyond direct responsibilities.
