Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management in supporting all employees. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, retirement plan administration, employee relations, worker’s compensation, training, onboarding / off boarding, policy design and implementation, recruitment / employment, and employment law compliance.
Job Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Plans, leads, develops, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Advise/coach managers, supervisors, or administrators in all HR practices.
- Administers human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, FMLA, ESTA; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety, worker’s compensation, training and development.
- Design, implement and administer all employee benefits plans including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, life/AD&D, STD, LTD, 401(k) and Pension (DB).
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews, modifies and administers policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or other closely related field, or at least ten years of work experience. SHRM-SCP and/or Master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of progressive responsibility in a professional HR role with at least five years in a leadership role and a track record of positive interaction and established credibility with senior management.
- Demonstrated expertise in HR skills, talent development, talent acquisition and retention, compensation and employee relations and HR related statutory and regulatory environment.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects successfully through the application of well-developed managerial and business skills.
- Ability to apply expert HR knowledge to complex organizational issues; effectively dealing with ambiguity, recognizing trends and identifying systemic approaches to solve problems.
- Must possess excellent diplomacy and judgment when handling routine as well as emotionally charged situations.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to analyze complex situations and related data to determine appropriate actions.

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
