Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in QuickBooks to manage our accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate payments using QuickBooks. • Process and review invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and maintain accounts payable records, including data entry and transaction processing.
• Manage and maintain vendor relationships, addressing any discrepancies or issues in a professional manner.
• Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Proven experience using QuickBooks for accounts payable functions.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
