Description
This is a fast-paced position that has the responsibility of providing mixed bulk products to the production line. Must be able to work in and lead a 4-person team. Must be able to lift bulk product on a consistent basis. This position requires a hands-on leader who guides by example.
Essential Job Duties:
Mixing/Blending Responsibilities
- Be able to follow directions both written and verbal
- Load bulk ingredients onto pallets
- Load bulk ingredients into mixer
- Unload mixer into Bulk Supersacks
- Ensure food products meet desired quality and safety standards by completing check (batch records completion, first article checks, mixer clearance checks, Deacom system)
- Participate in re-working product that did not meet desired quality and safety standards to bring it up to acceptable standards
- Work as a team to maintain a clean environment by sweeping, mopping, keeping trash picked up and taken out, wiping down mixer and components, etc.
- Must be able to safely use a pallet jack (manual or electric)
- Perform other related tasks as required
Lead Responsibilites
- Lead daily production and ensure targets are met
- Assign work and support operators
- Maintain quality standards and reduce defects
- Enforce safety procedures and address risks
- Monitor performance (output, downtime, scrap)
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with maintenance
- Drive continuous improvement efforts
- Communicate priorities and shift updates
- Complete basic reporting and documentation
- Perform accurate inventory movements on Deacom System, following the pick list.

Requirements
Competencies
- Ability to understand and follow written/spoken instructions in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to take and pass a food handler’s certification test within 30 days of hire date.
- Commitment to follow all Company procedures.
- Strict Adherence to safety standards and requirements.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The shift is 10 hours.
Day Shift Hours are 5:00am to 3:30pm
Monday – Thursday
Overtime might be required at times.
