Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and confident DSP to support a young adult male client with developmental disabilities in a structured home setting.
This role requires someone who is comfortable with behaviors, consistent with routines, and dependable with attendance.
Client Needs
- Young adult male (early 20s)
- Requires close supervision and redirection
- May display behaviors such as grabbing or non-compliance
- Needs support with personal care, including diaper changes and hygiene
This position is best suited for someone who is calm, patient, and able to manage behaviors without becoming overwhelmed.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and ensure client safety
- Assist with ADLs (hygiene, toileting, diaper changes, dressing)
- Follow behavior plans and provide consistent redirection
- Support daily routines and structure
- Complete cleaning, meal prep, and household tasks
- Complete daily documentation using apps
Qualifications
- Experience with autism and/or behavioral support preferred
- RBT or behavioral training is a strong plus
- Comfortable with hands-on personal care
- Reliable attendance is REQUIRED
- Able to stay calm and professional during behaviors
- Comfortable using apps for scheduling and documentation
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background clearance
Important
This is an active, hands-on role. Staff must be comfortable with personal care, behaviors, and maintaining a structured environment throughout the shift.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
