Job Overview
Non-Medical in- home care agency BETTER DAYS AT HOME is seeking compassionate and dedicated CNAs to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support in the client's home. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the client with the activities of daily living while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Must have reliable transportation, DL, and auto insurance.
We cover the Greater Jackson surrounding areas.
Must have your CNA license. Credentials will be verified through the National Caretaker Registry.
Criminal fingerprint background check & Drug screen will be administered.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility of patients within home.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, particularly those in hospice or dementia care.
- Assist with feeding and ensure proper nutrition for patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to PCS Supervisor.
- Light housekeeping
Skills
- Strong understanding of dementia care principles and practices.
- Experience in hospice care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Proficient in providing home community care and support services.
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and compassion.
- Knowledge of geriatric care practices and durable medical equipment (DME).
- Familiarity with home care protocols.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
