What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skills Trainer position at BETTER COMMUNITY LIVING INC?

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts one on one sessions with children ages 2-22 to implement program goals
- Utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
- Completes all data collection, daily logs and graphing requirements
- Adheres to schedule for all sessions.
- Maintains confidentiality
- Conducts positive, solution based therapy
- Communicates child behavior issues
- Ensures own safety and safety of child and contacts director when in crisis situation
- Attends team meetings as scheduled
- Produces reports as needed.
- Complies with all policies and procedures.
- Brings problems to the attention of the program director
- Utilizes ABA therapy techniques.
- Must be professional at all times.
Working Conditions:
- Physical activities include but not limited to:
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, etc.
- Exerting in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
- The worker is subject to hazards such as moving parts, moving vehicles, etc
Required Qualifications:
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers’ license.
- Successful applicants must be able to successfully pass a CORI check, Drug Test, and a Driving Record Check.
- All applicants must be able to become certified on assigned trainings within 30 days of employment.
- Previous experience working with children on the autism spectrum
- ABA/DDT experience
- Confidentiality
- Professional and pleasant demeanor
- This is an open rolling position for applicants.
Salary: $22.87 per hour
