Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, adhering to proper chemical handling protocols and infection control standards.
- Conduct pressure washing and other specialized cleaning tasks to maintain exterior surfaces and heavy-duty areas.
- Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all cleaning activities to ensure safety and sanitation compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, or stripping as required for different surfaces.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities such as trash removal, sanitation of high-touch surfaces, and restocking supplies to ensure continuous facility hygiene.
Skills
- Proven janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures and equipment operation.
- Skilled in window cleaning, floor care techniques, and sanitation practices to uphold high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with staff and visitors when needed.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
