Job Summary:
Adjunct faculty are responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate Criminal Justice
courses in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats. Candidates must demonstrate subject-matter
expertise, effective teaching practices, and a commitment to student success

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses
- Prepare syllabi and course materials aligned with departmental standards
- Utilize the institution's Learning Management System
- Maintain accurate records of grades and attendance
- Provide timely feedback and hold required office hours
- Comply with university policies and academic integrity standards
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field
- Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice
- College-level teaching experience or relevant professional experience in the field
Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:
- Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline
- Experience teaching online and/or hybrid courses
- Expertise in areas such as Criminology, Corrections, Policing, Criminal Law, Research
- Methods, Juvenile Justice, or Criminal Justice Reform
Physical Requirements:
- Working environment is a normal business office setting.
- Demands normal manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity.
- Must be mobile throughout the campus.
- Typically, the incumbent may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items.
