JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Justice and Political Studies at Bethune‐Cookman University invites
applications for a full‐time, tenure‐track position as Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in
the undergraduate/graduate program. The area of specialization is open,
although applicants must be able and willing to teach research methods (quantitative and
qualitative), introductory criminal justice courses, and upper‐level courses to serve the
needs of the department. Expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferable:
research methods, law enforcement, and juvenile justice. The capacity to teach graduate courses is also
preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Criminology is preferred, but ABD in those areas will be considered.

- Working environment is a normal business office setting.
