Overview
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, Zenimax and the video game studios it oversees (Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, MachineGames, and Arkane Studios) make video games enjoyed by fans world-wide. This Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) position would be based out of ZeniMax’s headquarters in Rockville, MD, and would be a great fit for a sharp, organized, detail-oriented professional with 2 to 4 years of financial experience.
This role will work closely with our video game studios, by supporting our Finance Manager with the Company’s annual budgeting process, quarterly reforecasting process, monthly close process and post-close results analysis. They will assist with providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, new business opportunities and other ad hoc projects. This function will support the central analytical resource for the company and will provide insights to support optimal business decision-making.
Responsibilities
Work cross-functionally to support the company’s global monthly/quarterly forecasting, annual planning, and management reporting processes
Operate with a return-on-investment mindset, pushing for financial excellence from every line of the P&L
Collaborate with members of Accounting to ensure accurate monthly results
Provide timely analysis of forecast/budget variance
Initiate process improvements to improve forecasting accuracy
Support decision-making and strategic planning activities, serving as a key resource to senior decision makers in the business
Drive the creation and publication of financial results via dashboards or other reporting packages
Coordinate operational input from internal stakeholders
Support efforts for system implementations, report redesign, and process improvements
Identify financial issues and opportunities
Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by Leadership Team members
Qualifications
2-4 years experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
Advanced working knowledge of Excel
Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, etc.) OR clearly-demonstrated quantitative work experience
Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
Preferred Skills

Salary Range
Financial Analyst - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $65,000 - $120,000 per year.
