Position Summary
Bethel Lutheran Home is seeking a motivated and compassionate Admissions / Marketing Coordinator to join our skilled nursing facility team. This role is responsible for coordinating the admissions process, building strong relationships with referral sources, and supporting census growth while ensuring a positive experience for residents and families.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the full admissions process from referral to admission
- Review clinical documentation to determine admission appropriateness
- Communicate with hospitals, case managers, families, and internal departments
- Coordinate tours and serve as a liaison for prospective residents and families
- Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes
- Maintain accurate census and admissions documentation
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, and community partners
- Support marketing efforts to promote facility services and maintain occupancy
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience in healthcare admissions, skilled nursing, or related healthcare setting Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Prior Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
- Marketing or census development experience
- Familiarity with Medicare Part A & B, Medi-Cal, Managed Medi-Cal, and HMO plans Knowledge of insurance authorization and referral approval processes
- Familiarity with hospital discharge planning
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
