Literacy Interventionist
Bethel Bible Village is a faith-based residential home for children of families in crisis. Located on the Bethel Bible Village campus in Hixson, TN, Bethel Christian Academy (BCA) is a non-public Christian college preparatory school, that provides a smaller classroom environment.
We are currently seeking a Literacy Interventionist for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Literacy Interventionist is responsible for supporting achievement in the core academic areas (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies) especially in the areas of reading, comprehension, vocabulary, and writing. The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically.
Qualifications:
- Spiritual: Be an active participating Christian in a local congregation.
- Education: Related bachelor’s degree required. Literacy Intervention experience a plus.
- Specific Skills: Experience working with youth who may have academic and behavioral concerns preferred. Excellent classroom management skills required. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and previous computer experience required.
- License: Current license or preparation to obtain a license in TN required. Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Other Requirements: Applicant must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S., and successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
