The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable Dietary Aides to join our Dining Services team full-time.
In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, appetizing meals to our residents while maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and food safety. Key Responsibilities
Meal Service & Hospitality: Assist in setting up dining room tables, tray lines, and serving meals to residents promptly, warmly, and in accordance with their specific dietary needs and preferences.
Food Prep Assistance: Help prepare beverages, snacks, side dishes, and portion desserts according to daily meal plans and therapeutic diet requirements.
Kitchen & Dining Maintenance: Clear dining tables, load and operate the commercial dishwasher, sanitize prep stations, and assist with sweeping, mopping, and trash removal in the kitchen area.
Dietary Compliance: Follow personalized resident diet cards to ensure texture modifications (e.g., pureed, mechanical soft) and liquid consistencies match physician orders.
Resident Interaction: Build friendly, positive relationships with residents, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable, comfortable, and dignified.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous food service, restaurant, or dietary aide experience in a senior living, hospital, or school setting is a plus, but we are happy to train dependable individuals with a great attitude!
Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and carry food trays or lift up to 30 lbs during your shift.
The Heart: Friendly demeanor, patience, strong attendance, and a genuine passion for serving older adults.
