Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse and Med Techs to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a vital role in overseeing and delivering resident care, managing co-workers and ensuring that the highest standards of nursing practice are maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in long term care, specifically personal care/assisted living facilities and a passion for providing exceptional care.
This position is for 3pm-11:30pm hours Full Time
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of co-workers to ensure efficient care delivery.
- Assess resident needs, develop individualized care plans and conduct assessment conferences.
- Administer medications and care to residents as prescribed, including bathing, grooming, dressing and medication management.
- Mentor and train new resident care staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Assist in the completion of monthly medication regimen reviews, lab coordination and medical records.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for upcoming physician assessments/appointments.
- Complete documentation for new admissions including conducting initial admission assessments.
- Prepare discharge summaries for residents prior to discharge/transfer.
Experience
- Current nursing license with relevant experience in long term care
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to teach complex concepts effectively
