Basic Function:
To enhance the quality of life of our residents through one-on-one interaction. Training to be a Certified Nursing Assistant with the assistance of CNAs and Nursing staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with resident personal care.
- Assist with dining room and feed residents.
- Assisting with daily one-on-one or small group activities with the residents.
- Pass waters and all needed supplies to residents such as briefs, underpants, wipes, soap, denture cups, etc.
- Transport residents to and from medical appointments.
- Answer call lights and assists residents as needed.
- Provide daily meal assistance passing of trays
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of resident and facility information.
Endorsing comply with the vision, objective, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take approved residents out for cigarette.
- Daily resident transportation to and from dining room and activities.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
- High school education or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, speak and write English is also required for this position.
- On-site training will be provided.
Experience Required:
- Previous long-term care experience helpful
- Prior experience working with the dementia resident preferred, and a genuine interest in the geriatric field is required.
Hazards:
Exposure to the following may be present in this position:
- Blood-borne pathogens and infectious body fluids/waste.
- MSDS sheets are available for all chemicals used.
Equipment Used:
- Computer, photocopier, fax machine, and general office equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Indoor - Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Every-other weekend required, and holidays may be required as needed.
- Overtime as needed.
- May be required to work past regular shift, or off-shifts as necessary.
- Working conditions for this position may include the following: inside, odors, adequate lighting, working with/around others, working alone.
Physical Demands:
- Some heavy lifting required at times:
- <15 lbs, throughout the shift.
- Constant walking, standing, turning crouching, pushing wheelchairs & carts, sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, depth perception, and concentration are required for this position.
Personal Protective Equipment & Uniform Requirements:
- Nursing Scrubs.
- Bethany Village Photo I.D.

- Must be able to communicate with co-workers, residents, and the families of the residents.
- Dependable, prompt, tactful, patient, a desire to work with geriatric residents.
- Resident-focused at all times, while acting as a pleasant professional is essential.
- Task-centeredness, punctuality, and a pleasant demeanor are beneficial to successful performance in this position.
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
