Middle School Girls PE Teacher

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking an energetic, student-centered professional to join our Athletic Department in a full-time role as a Girls Middle Schol Physical Education teacher. This role combines Physical Education and athletic program support. This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with middle school students, fostering a positive environment, and contributing to a strong, values-driven athletics program. This is a full-time, 10-month position with benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

Physical Education (Girls Middle School)

• Lead Girls Middle School Physical Education classes (Grades 5-8) focused on wellness, movement, and enjoyment of physical activity
• Create a supportive, inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable participating and being active
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  
  

Athletic Department Support

• Assist with the day-to-day needs of the Athletic Department
• Support communication, organization, and overall program operations as needed
• Contribute to a positive and professional athletic environment
• Complete other related duties as assigned
  
  

Coaching & Event Supervision

• Serve as a head or assistant coach for interscholastic teams
• Supervise games, practices, and athletic events as assigned
• Represent the school and Athletic Department in a positive and professional manner
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Education or related field
• Experience working with middle school-aged students
• Coaching experience in a school or club setting
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with students and being part of a school community
