Responsibilities
- Supervise children during before- and after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times through attentive child supervision and behavior management.
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts and crafts, sports, games, tutoring sessions, and outdoor play.
- Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive environment conducive to learning and fun.
- Follow first aid protocols and be prepared to respond swiftly to medical emergencies using CPR or AED when necessary.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and team members to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support.
- Facilitate youth group activities and coordinate age-appropriate programs that foster social skills, teamwork, and leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and activity participation while adhering to all safety guidelines.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; camp experience or babysitting background is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols.
- Experience with special education needs or youth development programs enhances your ability to support all children effectively.
- Excellent child supervision skills combined with outdoor work experience for active engagement outdoors.
- Ability to facilitate youth programs such as sports coaching, theater activities, tutoring sessions, or Christian counseling as needed.
- Demonstrated team leadership capabilities with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and parents.
