Where You’ll Work Our 8‑bed CCU/ICU is a dynamic, fast‑paced environment staffed by a dedicated interdisciplinary team specializing in comprehensive critical care. Here, you’ll support patients requiring advanced therapies such as mechanical ventilation, non‑invasive ventilation (including BiPAP), central line management, and medication titration. The ICU RN is responsible for the care of patients within the ICU. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, within the framework of the RN license, participates in the following: Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process Systematically assesses the health status of patients Analyzes and interprets data and makes nursing judgments regarding care Plans, implements and coordinates nursing interventions Evaluates outcome of nursing interventions Revises/updates plan of care Documents nursing process clearly and concisely Communicates nursing plan effectively Minimum Requirements: Equivalent to a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Must complete an individualized critical care orientation and the Milton Hospital or equivalent telemetry course. Basic Life Support certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required Current IV skill preferred, completion of IV competency within six months of hire. At least two years medical-surgical experience preferred. Telemetry experience preferred.
