What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Supervisor position at Betances Health Center?
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop mental health services as an integral part of primary care and ensuring that these services meet regulatory guidelines by qualified providers.
- Provides group work treatment and social casework for patients and their families; serve as a member of the treatment team, working with other disciplines in diagnosing problems, formulating treatment plans and evaluating progress.
- Monitor mental health documentation and billing to ensure that revenue is maximized.
- Oversees the coordination, development and implementation of patient mental health (and or social service) treatment plans.
- Complete statistical and other reports as required by Betances Health Center.
- Develop, implement and oversees quality improvement activities related to Social Programs.
- Participate in grant writing.
- Provide clinical supervision to all behavioral Health staff.
- Oversee the administrative and clinical aspects of the: Mental Health programs.
- Staff supervision; education and training; implementation of programs, procedure and systems; program planning and development; monitor quality assurance to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of services.
- Oversees staff scheduling and coverage to ensure provision of social work/mental health services and patient access to care.
- Develops policies and procedures in consultation with Medical Director, Ensuring implementation and compliance with program and Betances’ policies.
- Develops, implements and maintains systems for data collection and statistical reporting.
- Assist with mediation, problem –solving and conflict resolution.
- Monitors patient satisfaction.
- Attend departmental/Center-wide meetings as required.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
