Duties

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras and access control systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure security compliance.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Verify identities and perform background checks on visitors, contractors, and employees to maintain a secure environment.
• Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical assistance.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for future reference and investigations.
• Manage conflict de-escalation situations with professionalism, utilizing conflict management techniques to resolve disputes peacefully.
• Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary.

Experience

• Prior experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Training in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
• Familiarity with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting to assist in physical security tasks.
• Proven ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough incident report writing with clarity and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of compliance with security regulations and legal standards related to firearm handling and use of force.
• Experience working in environments requiring physical security measures such as patrolling, conflict de-escalation, and incident management.

Pay: $23.12 - $31.74 per hour
