Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by executing janitorial tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others.
• Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment to execute tasks such as floor cleaning, carpet shampooing, window washing, and surface disinfection.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services with excellent customer service skills.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning with a strong understanding of sanitation standards.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, floor care techniques, vacuuming methods, and chemical agent handling.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols including the use of SDS for chemical safety.
• Prior experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
