Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and prevent potential issues.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to diagnose problems accurately.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to troubleshoot automation systems and electrical circuits.
- Execute welding tasks and other fabrication work as required to repair or modify equipment.
- Support manufacturing processes by maintaining machinery, conveyors, and production lines for optimal performance.
- Assist with residential painting projects within the facility or designated areas to enhance appearance and safety standards.
- Supervise or collaborate with team members during maintenance activities, providing guidance and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed for reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement in facilities maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations.
- Mechanical skills including troubleshooting mechanical systems, and understanding schematics
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document issues and collaborate with team members.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to coordinate maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Ability to perform residential painting tasks when needed for facility upgrades or aesthetic improvements.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, mechanical repairs, and general facilities maintenance.
