HOTEL LOUNGE BARTENDER JOB DESCRIPTION
A hotel lounge bartender mixes and serves beverages, provides exceptional hospitality, and maintains a clean, well-stocked bar. They drive revenue through upselling, verify guest ages, process payments, and ensure compliance with all local liquor and safety regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation: Mix classic and signature cocktails, pour beer and wine, and prepare non-alcoholic drinks to exact recipes and presentation standards.
- Guest Services: Greet guests warmly, make menu recommendations, and anticipate needs to provide a luxurious and personalized experience.
- Compliance & Safety: Check valid identification, monitor alcohol consumption to prevent intoxication, and maintain a safe environment.
- Financial Operations: Manage the point-of-sale (POS) system, accurately handle cash and credit card transactions, and balance the cash drawer.
- Bar Maintenance: Restock ice, glassware, and liquor inventories. Wash dishes, wipe down surfaces, and follow sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Understanding of mixology, wine pairings, and local beverage trends. Familiarity with the local area to recommend attractions.
- Certifications: State-approved alcohol server certification preferred. (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe)
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, a consistent positive and welcoming demeanor, and the physical stamina to stand for long shifts.
Pay: $8.00 per hour
