We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our front desk team and ensure our overnight operations run smoothly.
Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing daily financial transactions, assisting guests with late-night check-ins/check-outs, and ensuring a secure, quiet environment during overnight hours. This role is a mix of front desk duties and basic accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nightly audit of hotel revenue and transactions
- Prepare and reconcile daily reports for management
- Greet and assist guests during check-in and check-out processes
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies calmly and professionally
- Monitor hotel security and safety protocols throughout the night
- Ensure lobby and front desk area remain clean and organized
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and end-of-day balances
- Set up morning coffee and breakfast area (if applicable)
- Communicate effectively with day shift and housekeeping teams regarding guest needs or issues
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel front desk or accounting experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
