Position Summary:
The Director of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies, securing event bookings, and managing client relationships. This role oversees the sales and banquet team and ensures seamless execution of events, collaborating with hotel operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize room and event space bookings.
- Identify and target key market segments, including corporate, social, and wedding events.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and community organizations.
- Conduct proactive sales outreach, including networking, site visits, and cold calls.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and proposals to secure profitable business.
- Track and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet revenue goals.
Event Planning & Execution:
- Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs and tailor hotel offerings accordingly. Execute pre event as well as post event meetings with clients.
- Work closely with operations, catering, and banquet teams to ensure flawless event execution.
- Develop event packages, menus, and pricing in coordination with the culinary and F&B teams.
- Manage event logistics, including room layouts, audiovisual needs, and special requests.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales and events team to achieve performance goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and customer service excellence.
- Establish clear goals and accountability measures for sales and event staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review sales performance and event planning updates.
Financial & Administrative Duties:
- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring revenue targets are met.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and event details.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, industry regulations, and brand standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
